No one? The bios update killed the keyboard and the backlight. Already replaced the keyboard and the problem persists

Something is not OK with the files you posted

This laptop has 3 ROMs: the BIOS chip (8MB), the EC (1MB) and the ite 8171fn ROM (128KB?). Your ec.bin file is NOT the ITE ROM neither the EC.

I have this laptop to repair and the keyboard doesn't work (keyboard tested OK on other computer).
I've reflashed the BIOS using ezflash, then I created a dump from the 3 roms. I can't find the ite ROM inside the asus bios files and the 1MB file is also missing.
If I flash your ec.bin, the ite stops working (fans at full speed, no keyboard, all leds light up at same time).
I've attached the original ITE ROM if anyone needs it. But probably this file is the cause of a non working keyboard. Does anyone have a working dump?

edit: i was wrong. attachment deleted!

This is what? 56kb not for BIOS

You only need to care about BIOS 8MB (MAIN BIOS) and EC ITE (128KB)

That is the original dump from EC ITE. (dumped using the vertyanov programmer). With that dump, my keyboard is not working. Your dump is not compatible

Yeah, you are right.
Backup tool is wrong the correct line should read
GL702VMK IT8995E-128 KB_pins=30 LEFT DOWN 1MM FLASH=128 PD0=29 PD1=20 PD2=15 PD3=23 PD4=14 PD5=16 PD6=12 PD7=30 BUSY=26 STB=18 AFD=28 INIT=21 SLIN=19 KSI4=22 KSI5=24
The 128KB dumped file is exactly the one you posted and the same that I've dumped. I'll delete the 56kb file.

Do you have any idea how to fix the non working keyboard? I've attached the bios file that I manually flashed (is the original bios, but with the bios region replaced while keeping the 2nd padding from the original bios that includes the serial number/windows key, etc). Source bios: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/GL702VMK/GL702VMKAS305.zip

The only chip that I haven't flashed is the W25Q80 (1MB) rom because I have no idea what is his purpose.

you want i help what ?

just like @Ptelemoveis, this laptop has a non working keyboard and keyboard backlight. Replacing the keyboard doesn't solve the problem.

The computer is clean. No signs of flux or liquid damage. Keyboard tests OK on other laptop. Multiple people report the exact same problem and the only fix is to send it back to asus
