Lenovo M720q - 10T8 - IQ3XOIL EQ370 NM-B551 – REV:3.0
I was wondering if I could get help recovering my Lenovo M720q from a bad BIOS chip.
After a Windows BIOS update the machine no longer powered up. FYI, I did try the fixes from the Lenovo website but this didn't work, e.g. CMOS clear, BIOS recovery, new power supply, different ram etc.. (completely dead no power or fan spin)..
I did try to take a dump of the old BIOS chip, but this would fail or error. (Believe the BIOS Chip is dead).
Managed to source a new BIOS chip but it was blank. I used a BIOS from your website, (ThinkCentre M720t, M720s, M720q, M920t, M920s, M920q, M920x, ThinkStation P330 Tiny NM-B551.bin) and now the desktop will power on with fan spin, but there is no display and no beeps.
I'm hoping this is a BIOS issue and not a fault with the hardware?

BIOS Chip = Winbond 25Q128JVSQ - (only 1 chip on the board)
Motherboard = IQ3XOIL EQ370 NM-B551 – REV:3.0
Model = 10T8 – A01BUK
s/n = S4QM4386
