Hi everyone,

I need a working and clean BIOS dump for an HP Pro Tower 290 G9 PCI Desktop PC.

Unfortunately, the original BIOS chip was badly damaged and corrupted, so I don't have the backup/old original dump file to extract the data from.

Here are the official specifications of the machine taken directly from the chassis:

  • Model: HP Pro Tower 290 G9 PCI Desktop PC
  • Product No: 6D3A5EA
  • Serial No: 4ce243bb9v
  • BID: 22WW2DFD6 #SAB8 #DAB8
Could someone please provide a reliable 16MB clean ME or factory dump that matches this specific BID?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Thanks for your reply. As requested, I have attached the BIOS dump that actually gives a display on the screen, but it shows the "BIOS Corrupted" error and freezes.

Please note that the original chip was destroyed, so this attached file is from another source that I managed to get a display with.

Here are the complete details of the motherboard and machine to help you fix it or rebuild a clean one:
  • Motherboard Model: AKALI RevA M11
Please check the attached file and help me clean the ME region or rebuild it so it boots without the corrupt error.

Thank you!

Download list

Here is the exact story of how I generated this attached file:

  1. I downloaded the official BIOS update from the HP website. (089B3)
  2. I then extracted the BIOS and mixed/modified it with a 089B4.bin dump file to get it to display.
  3. With this mixed file, the PC successfully turns on and gives a display, but it constantly triggers the "BIOS Corrupted" error screen.
  4. When I try to give it the Flash Recovery option, the system reboots into a completely black screen and nothing happens (it completely freezes).
