Had a customer come to me with the above and an EEPROM SOP8 Pre-Programmed with SN, UUID and MAC, he bought it on eBay I think, can't find the SN, UUID and MAC on the firmware they supplied with SOP8, even searched with hex, but my be encrypted, not sure...
All i did was rework SOP8 into board that's all he wanted at the time.
Call a day later explaining it would not start and had high fan.
Put a BIN on that I had for the above model and it fired up and booted to windows login.
I'm now stuck as I need to embed the SN, UUID and MAC as it's AMI UEFI Firmware.

Can anyone point me in the right direction in the way of a GUI Tool to achieve the above for Win 10 and or Linux Mint
Have used AMIBCP v5.0.2 which shows location but does not let you embed said numbers!!!

You need use BIOS Original above
 
Customer can't find old BIOS, lost it which is not surprising, small chip, easy to loose.
New BIOS works fine since I put new BIN on it but no SN, UUID and MAC, correct BIN Clean, Laptop boots Okay, but would just like to embed numbers...
If its not doable then I'm at a dead end or he is.

so you need to use the BIOS backup from another computer it will have information, if you use the BIOS from Asus it will not have information.

So your saying get backup bios from you, burn to PROM, boot Laptop and use CMD tools and or other tools to get SN, UUID and MAC, the I can search for them in BIN with HEX Editor and replace with correct ones.

I think you're thinking that you can't edit from HEX, the BIOS backup from another machine has info. no need edit
 
Hello, just used bios dump above and firmware has password in it, just paid for it, please advise
 
hi ,

i have zenbook with bios problem.

original bios not working.

bios above working but no video,

the motherboard code is ux310uv rev2.0
but on the sticker its ux310ua.

bios above is ux310uak

can you check and rebuild?
