For Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 1 (S/N: R910W8WV), this is expected behavior.
Why you cannot find a separate I/O (EC) chip
On this model, there is no standalone I/O / EC chip (such as ITE, ENE, or Nuvoton) that you can identify and program separately.
