Ask Lenovo P52s - Bios - Bricked

Good Evening -

I have a Lenovo P52s and the latest bios update bricked the laptop. Laptop worked perfectly fine prior. I've tried the Bios posted in the forum for the P52s and only get the power light blinking three times as a response when uploaded to chip. The old bios when it bricked was pretty much blank I've attached. Any bios also gives the error "File length is beyond the scope of the chip storage space, the part will be ignored!"
Model is 20LB-X013US

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes that’s what happened after the bios bricked the computer. I tried the reset button on the bottom, no dice. I even left the bios trying to update the pc for 5hrs never moved from the spot. I tried the bios you left in another thread for the p52s but it didn’t work either.

So even if you don't have to use another BIOS instead, there are many BIOSes in the forum you can try.

Understood. I will try again with different program. I was using cha341 programmer. Thank you and will let you know results.

I think cha341 not good, Need a more advanced cable tool like RT809H or SVOD…
Even if you update with an error, the BIOS still has data after backup because the update cannot wipe the bios
