Hello,
I am hoping someone can help me modify my BIOS to add Coffee Lake (9th gen) CPU support.
Board details:
- Motherboard: Lenovo ThinkCentre M900 Tower (NOT Tiny)
- Board part number: IQ1X0MS Rev 1.0
- BIOS chip: Macronix MX25L12873F (16MB)
- Current BIOS version: FWKTBFA (latest official Lenovo)
I want to run an Intel Core i5-9500 (Coffee Lake Refresh, 6 core) in this board.
I have a CH341A programmer and can flash the chip externally on the bench, so I do not need a flashable update — a raw 16MB bin file is perfect.
I am attaching my BIOS dump (fwktbfa_ready.bin) which is taken f
rom my own board with the latest Lenovo FWKTBFA update already applied. My ME region, GbE and flash descriptor are all from my own machine so my MAC address and board identity are preserved in this file.
Could someone please add the necessary Coffee Lake microcode and any other required patches to make the i5-9500 work in this board?
Thank you very much for any help!
