Do you have the EC dump (U51) for this motherboard as well? Mine has the string "MSI 7C91" inside, and I wonder if the previous owner attempted to reprogram it or MSI is just reusing the EC firmware of this other board in this one.

Oh no, I beg your pardon for not explaining the matter properly. I'd like to see a dump of the small (256KB) SPI flash chip (U51 in the boardview) that the Nuvoton EC reads from. MS 7D78. I haven't been able to find it in the main BIOS.

I'm currently working on a board whose SPI flash dump contains the string "MSI 7C91". I'm thinking that either it has been reprogrammed or MSI is reusing EC code across a large range of motherboards.
