Hi, i have completely different question here. after pulling the black cover on the mainboard the crystal which is responsible for the IC JHL6540 broken in half . I have managed to take picture of them but dont know where to find it to fix it.

this is better quality picture i found online which is not related to this mainboard but the crystal looks same number? Any advice would be helpful

Mainboard used to power on and give 3 blinks but now it does nothing at all so i believe the crystal probably is damaged . i dont have oscilloscope to confirm

I just extracted the mec and its only 195kb not 256kb . can you double check the file or it will write ok the first 195kb and the rest will not fit but the mec will ok to work?

Hi all, i am working on this model and i cannot find the mec chip that is mentioned. any advice to where it is? is it a BGA chip?
thanks

so do i need to solder to the board to read the mec1653? or remove it to scan?
This is my first time scanning a mec chip. I mostly do 8pin chips found in MacBooks and older windows computers.

Above i think have pics you need to know where is connection solder your board like TMS,CLK,RMST or other if you success read then you cannot solve error dmi means serial number or other info.My suggest to buy patch is easy or work without any error.
