Hi, This laptop has a Thunderbolt Controller, but Dell disabled the Thunderbolt settings in the BIOS. Can you whitelist it so I can use Thunderbolt ports for External GPU?
Ask Inspiron 5402 (i7-11th gen,MX330, Iris Xe), 0MTYV1, Whitelist Thunderbolt settings in BIOS

Hi, Thanks for your response, can you explain why not? Is it locked behind dell settings? or is it physically not connected to the port?

Can you explain why is it not possible? Is it because it's locked behind dell settings, or it physically doesn't connect to the USB-C port?
Thunderbolt has a separate chip and BIOS

Thanks for your answer. I am still confused, there's a thunderbolt controller present in the laptop. But modding the bios won't make the laptop thunderbolt compatible?
