Hi all,

I have an HP ZBook 17 G6 (DAXW3EMBAF0 REV F, i7-9850H). EC chip (GD25Q128B WSON8) is corrupt. I managed to pull all my identity info (Serial, UUID, BuildID, Product) from the original BIOS dump before losing it trying different versions.

Does anyone have a matching clean BIOS (32MB GD25Q256C) and EC (16MB) dump for this exact board? Happy to share my identity details. Thanks!

Also The FILE DUMP at the top doesn't work. Thanks

just a matter of info DMI??
There is no reason to program EC with that error it will only make it worse

Thanks for the reply. Just to clarify — my EC was already corrupt when I bought the laptop with no boot at all. I managed to get it booting using a fixed BIOS and cleared the Endpoint error using the HP Endpoint Cleaner Tool. The laptop was booting fine despite the corrupt EC. I then started messing with the EC trying to fix the identity data and that's what killed the boot.

I just need a clean EC dump for the DAXW3EMBAF0 REV F to get back to the working state.

Machine details:
Model: HP ZBook 17 G6 (DAXW3EMBAF0 REV F, i7-9850H)
Serial: 5CD0404K8R
Product: 3R522EC#ABD
UUID: PJJZN068JE4086
BuildID: 19WWAVCT601#SABD#DABD
BIOS chip: GD25Q256C SOP16 (32MB)
EC chip: GD25Q128B WSON8 (16MB)

Any chance you have a clean EC dump? Really appreciated!

Original DUMP or NONE working Bios and EC before I was Messing with it.

What is clean EC? If you want to program ec 16mb then download above
There is nothing to check with EC old

I have tried your files but:

The 32MB looks good but I'm not sure the 16MB is actually an EC dump? It looks more like a BIOS NVRAM region to me — no KBC version strings and full of NVRAM variables. Could be wrong though! Do you have an actual EC chip dump from a working board by any chance?

yes 16mb is not ec
it rarely requires programming

Correct but mine was corrupt so now its Empty.

EC chip needs correct KBC version matching the BIOS, plus identity data. Can be blank but won't boot. Do you have R92_010900 BIOS + matching EC?
