i have tried this file ( builds) and the laptop is able to turn on ,fans spinning max speed but no screen as other files,only original file with password make the laptop works normally,i might give up on this hp unless you have any ideas.thanks a lot for your help during these days.

Hi dears,

I have HP Zbook 15 G3 and my bios bricked when I was trying factory reset. It shows black screen with full speed fan and showing nothing.

I found 3 different chips on mother board (APW50-DIS-NV):
1. Winbond 25Q80DVSIG 1606
2. Winbond 25Q128FVSQ 1605
3. MXIC MX 25L6473F M2I-08G 8B919200 L154335 (UE3)

I tried:
I downloaded the bios from the HP website (N81_0142.bin)(9Mb) but I couldn't write (burn) the *.bin file to (16Mb) on (2. Winbond 25Q128FVSQ 1605) because it shows the following error (doesn't match the flash chip's size)

Note.
2. Winbond 25Q128FVSQ 1605 was labeled JBIOS on motherboard. So, I think it is the BIOS chip.


My question:
1. Which one is the bios chip (1, 2 or 3)?
2. Which file do I need to burn to bios chip?
3. Any other recommended step to return my laptop?
