Question & Answer Forums
Hello

I have an issue with this laptop HP VICTUS 16-R000012TX if you can help.
Press power button, fans spins, screen stays black.
10 seconds later full speed fans still black, power drain does not help.
Not power light button but ac charger lights are on in the laptop.

all power stages are present except for memory ram, I cant tell if does appear for a second somewhere or not.
could this be a BIOS issue? the laptop suddenly stopped working.

I can also see when powering on the Chipset is pretty hot about 50c +
Chipset is FH82hm770, i dont know if this is a normal temp.
Laptop does response when pressing power button to turn off.

I will upload the BIOS if there is anything that can be fix through this.

Thanks.

Hi

I did try the Bios you builded but still same symptoms. when pressing power button Fans still blasting at full speed black screen, Ac charge lights up but not light on power button.

There was now some 1.8v volts present.
0.8v was there present for PCH.

On VCC 0.8v PCH has 14 ohms, is it normal?
On other laptops PCH on 0.8v used to be around 35ohms to 50ohms.

Thanks anyways for the Bios. Now I know that it has to be something else.

so fix the hardware instead of the bios
Thank you brother.
I fixed my laptop, was the chipset and the memory ram voltage missing. By the way your Bios works, I didn’t change it.

After replacing the chipset, many things power up (mouse, camera, speakers got power, etc) except for CPU and GPU but the fans was still running at full speed and black screen still.

the ram memory voltage was MISSING, The ram IC chip controller on the output was not faulty but the pin 1 and 3 (+5_DDR5 voltage) on the slot was shorted, then I found out it was a shorted capacitor.

If anyone has black screen and full speed fans better look for shorted capacitors around ram slot. ;) specifically on the back side of the motherboard. There is a bunch capacitors connected to the +5 DDR5 voltage. Of course if your PCH is fine.

Thank you for your work here.
