Hi guys,

I messed up big time. I tried to update my ROG Ally (RC71L, Z1 Extreme) BIOS using a CH341A programmer, but I failed to get a proper backup before erasing the chip. Now my original BIOS is gone, and the backup file I have is just empty (all FF).

I have a CH341A programmer and a 1.8V adapter ready. I just need a clean, complete 32MB BIN file (Full Dump) that I can flash directly to the chip to bring my Ally back to life.

I don't care about the serial number or Windows key anymore; I just want to see the BIOS screen again.

If anyone has a verified 32MB dump for the RC71L (Board: NR2301L), please share it with me. I would really appreciate your help!

Thank you!

I'm working on my ROG Ally (RC71L) and I’ve run into a wall.

I used a CH341A programmer to flash this BIOS file. The process went smoothly and the verification was 100% successful. However, when I power on the device, it just hangs at the ROG Logo screen and won't enter the BIOS or boot any further.

Am I missing a specific step? Is there something I need to do to the BIN file (like clearing the PSP region) before flashing? Any advice for a beginner would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
