Help with DA0NJHMBAH0 REV_H motherboard – no display after Southbridge replacement

Hello,

I have a DA0NJHMBAH0 REV_H motherboard.
I replaced the Southbridge (SRKMA) because the original one was shorted and getting extremely hot.
After replacing it, the new chip no longer overheats and all power rails are present.

However, the board does not output any display.
With everything disconnected, after power-on the current draw goes up to around 0.6 A, then rises to about 1 A, stays there for a moment, drops to 0.15 A, then climbs again to 0.6 A → 1 A, and this cycle repeats continuously.

  • The Southbridge is good and properly soldered.
  • All voltages are present and stable.
  • The new chip does not heat up.

Do you have any idea what could cause this behavior?
Would you be able to repair the old BIOS dump if necessary?
Also, could I get an EC firmware for the MX25V8006EZNI chip?

Thank you very much for your help.

need to program a new bios if same problem then need to check the hardware
Hello,

Thank you for your previous reply.

I have already reprogrammed the full BIOS on the DA0NJHMBAH0 REV_H motherboard after replacing the SRKMA (Southbridge/PCH).
The programming was successful (erase → write → verify OK), but the issue remains unchanged.

Symptoms:

  • After power on, the board draws about 0.6 A, then rises to 1 A, stays for a few seconds, drops to 0.15 A, then repeats the cycle (0.6 A → 1 A → 0.15 A → …).
  • All voltage rails are present and stable.
  • The new SRKMA no longer overheats.
  • No display output.

Since the problem persists after a clean BIOS reflash, I suspect the BIOS content may need correction (e.g. ME region clean, DMI/MAC/NVRAM data alignment, EC/Bios synchronization, or board ID fix).

Could you please:

  1. Repair or rebuild the BIOS so it is fully compatible with the replaced SRKMA and this exact board.
  2. Provide a correct EC firmware for MX25V8006EZNI (1.8 V).
  3. Let me know if I should send you my saved EC dump to assist with the repair.

Once I receive the corrected files, I will reflash both the main BIOS and EC and retest the board.

Thank you for your support — I’m ready to proceed as soon as you provide the necessary files or instructions.
