Hi!

I am facing an issue with a UX530UX.

I was installing windows 11 and after the file copy and the first restart, it got to the stage where it says "starting services" and "setting up devices". After a bit of that, it restarted but the screen never turned on, and the fans started going full speed, just like when updating the bios. I waited about 5 minutes and it kept doing that. So I powered it of and now it won't turn on.

When I plug it in, the power light comes on for a second, then off then it goes back on, together with the CapsLock led and the power button led, but nothing else. The cpu and gpu start to heatup slowly but there are no fans. If keep the power button pressed for more than 5 seconds , the laptop turns off and then immediately comes back on the same way as before i.e power button led, power led and CapsLock led on and nothing else.

I tried the posted bioses but nothing works.

Any ideas?

This is the bios that was on the chip...
It's v3.11..

I think I misunderstood you question...
I know there is not much you can do from far.....

I was just hoping you had some ideas of things I could try or maybe you could check if the bios dump I posted above is corrupted or something....

I think my problem is with the EC bios after all... but my programmer can't write that... I need a SVOD or Vertyanov... currently looking for one.... I'll try that and report back....

ok, I found a vertyanov and programmed the EC....

unfortunately, the problem wasn't that.....

the bios on the EC chip was the same as the one posted here https://vinafix.com/attachments/ecrom-bin.82296/

so no corruption there....

any other ideas?

to remind:
-I was installing windows 11
-the computer restated
-came on to a black screen with full fans
- forced it off after 5 minutes
- now it won't come on, just CapsLock and Power led, no fans
