Apple Change Serial A1708 Board Number: 820-00875-a

Hi everyone, I bought a replacement Logic Board for the Macbook of my aunt which got water damaged. I want to change the serial on that logic board to suit the serial on the bottom cover... The Logic Board is of a silver Macbook so just swapping bottom covers doesn't work because the Macbook is Space Grey..

Which is the cheapest programmer for this task? I am not looking into making a living of this, just one time serial change :) Would be awesome if there is any recommendations and a little how to like pin outs etc.

Thanks in advance

I know that there is a programmer called tl866 and another variant called tl866cs. But I read that people also done this successfully with an Raspberry Pi. But how? And how did you guys get under the chip? I think the chip format is called WSON8 which is a efi chip without them legs right?

@ThienBui Does TL866CS work for this or does it have to be TL866A? It has no legs on each side of the chip. The Solderpoints are BGA and it has one big solder point in the middle. Is the middle part important? The chip on my aunts macbook is mx25l6473ezni
Can I select mx25l6473e from chip selection in software of TL866?

This process is not as simple as just reading and writing the serial number to the new chip. but is possible. try out the ch341a programmer.
