Hello!
Got this ROG laptop dead, with missing charging battery IC and some bad mosfets.
Replaced everything and laptop now turns on, but no image.

With the bios it came with, it turns on ,fans full speed and takes 1.4Amps
Keyboard backlight blinks quickly when it turns on.

Also tried with the bios at the start of this post.
Laptop turns on, keyboard lights also blink, but fans do not work, and it only takes 800mA.No image.

Here's the pic of the ram sticker.
Can this be bios related? should I try also EC bios?

Thanks for the build.
So laptop turns on when I plug the charger in, keyboard backlight blinks once, no fan spinning and still no image.
Takes 1.1 amps and comes down to 950 ma
If I try to power off pressing the power button for about 5 secs, it shuts down but powers on again by itself immediately.

Should I also try EC?
Dont know what else to try...

The laptop powers up by itself when I power the DC in.

If I press power button for 5 secs, it shuts down, but immediately turns on again, without pressing power button.

Can I read/write EC with laptop on? I suppose its not posssible, but let me know.

Any ideas?

Battery CMOS new - Same thing
What do you mean I/O? SIO replace with new?

Also, laptop turns on, white led is ON.
Battery LED starts to blink Green after 2 mins
Battery is not connected
No USB activity

If I try to shutdown, when it turns on again, battery LED is ON with orange colour.

I replaced 2 mosfets in the charging battery circuitry, what could this indicate?

This is a hardware issue you have to check for yourself

Yes im checking everything I can

CPU gets very hot right away when machine powers on. Chipset also quite warm. GPU is cold

CPU resistance is 2.6 ohm so not shorted...
Could it be bad CPU/PCH?

Just want to figure it out and device if I should invest more time on this board, or just move on

You mean check for PLT_RST, All SYS PWRGOOD and other signals near SIO chip?
Do you have a tutorial/training for these IO signals available?
