HP OMEN 17-W 17-AB Laptop sr2c4 shorted

Hi,

I got this laptop. It didn't power on. PCH was shorted. Replaced it. It turns on and off in a second or so.
Checked voltage rails. No short. I tried every bios I found here. With bad bios the caps lock flashes 5 long and 3 short.
With good bios the laptops turns on and off. Still bad PCH?

Pch short is Very common fault in Omen 17w.
However, as much as the old bios is not shutting off then I think you have an issue with the charger.

MAKE SURE the charger is 230w. DO NOT USE LOWER VOLTAGE . And I believe it will resolve your issue.
