Hello,

I need assistance with an HP EliteBook 840 G1.

Symptoms:

  • No POST
  • Black screen (no internal or external video)
  • Fan spins normally
  • Repeating beep codes
  • Same behavior with or without RAM installed
  • Tested without battery, AC adapter only
Diagnosis:
Likely corrupted BIOS / firmware issue. Not related to RAM, SSD, or display.

Technical details:

  • Model: HP EliteBook 840 G1
  • Board number: 6050A2725001-MB-A01
  • CPU: Intel i7 vPro (Haswell)
  • BIOS chip: Winbond W25Q128FVPQ – 16MB
  • MAC address: A0:8C:FD:A2:18:0D
Request:
Looking for a known-good BIOS dump compatible with this board,
not a generic clean BIOS, with proper

Intel ME, and MAC editable or pre-injected.

I will program the chip myself using an SPI programmer.

Thank you.
