I have a Dell 5480, CDP70 LA-E141P, that turns on but doesn't detect the battery even if it is plugged in. Not only that but if the unplug the charger, the laptop stays on until I unplug the battery.
This motherboard uses the ISL88738H, which I already replaced and nothing changed.
Again, note that the laptop works normally with or without the battery, just that it doesn't detect it. I believe that is charging because there is voltage in the battery connector wheter there is a battery connected or not.
Can anyone guide me in the right direction?
