Thank you for your answer. I need to unlock my BIOS chip to be able to update my System BIOS. I had a short circuit in my old Motherboard and although it works the sound and the network spot working. I bought a similar Motherboard but it has locked the Bios Chip and I am not able to update it...

Dear Sir Is there a way to unlock my BIOS (EliteBook 1040 G2)? Mi HP MotherBoard had a short circuit (with a little help of some water).The Soud and the network stop working. I bought a same MotherBoard model from china (HP ask for a new one $1.500). Everything works perfectly but i am not able...
